Co-opportunity is a community-driven co-op market, proudly offering organic food and high-quality products at their Santa Monica and Culver City locations. With a commitment to the best business practices, they prioritize the well-being of both their workers and customers.

Our goal was to create a visual identity that reflects Co-opportunity’s core values: compassion, community, sustainability, transparency, and trust.

Acclaimed interior designer Lori Backen approached us to work on the restaurant branding and design for French Blue, Napa Valley. The menu was inspired by the fresh and organic produce from Rudd Farms Gardens nearby.

The French Blue boy became the perfect symbol to convey a rustic "farm to table" menu along with a welcoming and cheerful atmosphere of the restaurant.

The Dutchess is a neighborhood bakery, all-day café, restaurant, and event space located in downtown Ojai housed in a 1926-era historic building. It is a collaboration between friends and family of Ojai which captures the spirit of the town’s local farmers and artisans.

It’s a love letter to Ojai from a team that cares deeply about what they do and about the community itself.

The Dutchess is named after the original baking oven from Bill Baker’s world-famous Ojai Bakery from the early 1900s. Now is a cozy fireplace in one of the dining rooms.

The graphics are inspired by writing letters on a typewriter, vintage illustrative engravings, and nourishing baked goods and Burmese fare.

A Spanish family-owned business since 1910, Inés Rosales bakes delicious sweet and savory olive oil tortas, made traditionally by hand, from a 100-year-old family recipe.More than a century later, Ines Rosales Tortas are still made following the same traditional recipe and using only the best extra-virgin olive oil and local ingredients.

Ines Rosales approached us to update the design of their Torta packaging with a fresh look and to appeal to the US market.

We included photographed charcuterie platters with serving suggestions on the backside of each Torta packaging and for promotional materials.

Chef Arnold Eric Wong approached me to create the branding for his latest project: The Beehive – a 60's inspired bar and eatery located in the heart of San Francisco's Mission District.

Craft cocktails and tasty bar bites are heralded by Chef Arnold Wong (Bacar, Eos) and Chef Phil West (Range), both co-owners of The Treasury.

The fun mod graphics were created to reflect the mid-century interiors and general attitude from that era.

Cassia Rice and Noodle Kitchen is the virtual restaurant inside Chef Bryant Ng’s critically-acclaimed Southeast Asian brasserie, Cassia.

The same award-winning team and fabulous ingredients behind Cassia’s menu are used to craft homey and high-quality rice and noodle-based dishes with fresh, locally-grown herbs and vegetables, and sustainably-sourced chicken and meats. The menu is offered for delivery and take-out only.

The objective for this project was to keep the familiar script logotype for Cassia but give it a playful, younger sister vibe with the illustrative icon of the plate, bowl, spoon and chopsticks.

Rustic Canyon Wine Bar & Seasonal Kitchen grew from a series of dinners that founder Josh Loeb held inside his family’s beautiful tree house of a home nestled in Rustic Canyon, an intimate neighborhood carved into the mountains of Santa Monica.

The restaurant is an extension of this, where friends near and far can come together and celebrate the best things in life: great food, great wine, and great people.

Rustic Canyon offers a regularly changing menu of Farmers’ Market-inspired dishes with ingredients that come from local farmers, ranchers, and fishermen who practice sustainable agriculture.

The site was created to be mobile-friendly and easy for the management to make daily menu changes on their own in the back-end of the site.

Olivina came to us to design packaging for a line of Sea Salt soaps with fragrances and ingredients from different countries. I chose to use vintage images of each fragrance in the background covered with handwriting and a stamp to emphasize the idea of a travel postcard for far away places.

The Coffee Company, established in 1978, is a family-run New American Diner, located by LAX, serving locals, tourists and loyal patrons. It’s menu is primarily breakfast and lunch staples with some dishes of modern Cajun and Middle Eastern influences.

Baraneh approached me to help update the look of the restaurant with a new logo and visual identity. The objective was to create a look that felt “established” while being friendly and casual. The illustration of the restaurant appearing on the menu covers and t-shirts give it a warm friendly neighborhood feel.

This is a project created in art school and is still one of my favorite packaging projects.

The assignment was to bring an established brand from the fashion industry and create a beverage and snack packaging for it. I chose the Levis brand, and had to ask myself, what would the classic American jean brand's food and beverage product be? What would it look like?

The answer was classic potato chips and cola, of course! I then implemented elements of Levis to the packaging. For the bottle, I chose a brown glass which had a unique yet classic shape and painted the bottle caps "copper" for regular cola, and "red" for cherry flavored cola. The soda can was also painted "copper" with a label wraped around it.

For the classic potato chips, I created the window shape the same shape as the Levis logo and stitched the bag along the top.

The result was classic, modern and appetizing.

Acclaimed Interior Designer Lori Backen creates warm and inviting interiors that are sophisticated yet very comfortable. She's worked on several high profile projects nationwide including the Sundance Institute, Robert Redford's private residence in Utah, as well as the guest suites at George Lucas' Skywalker Ranch. Along with residential projects, Lori Backen's commercial projects include hotels and restaurants. Architectural Digest listed French Blue as "One of the 10 Most Beautifully Designed Restaurants of 2012".

Burn 60 Studios is a high-intensity interval training studio which offers group strength and cardio classes in 60 minute increments in their Brentwood and West Hollywood locations. The objective was to create a bold, sleek and modern look with a boutique feeling. The concept of the "U" speaks to the individual, communicating a personal and motivating message to it's clients.
